Our Sundance rep, Jackie Christy, who is also an entrant for short films, sent us this from the festival:

“One of my favorites at Sundance is Ira Sachs’ LITTLE MEN, a restrained but deeply moving film. This seemingly simple story centers around the friendship of two teenage boys and the increasingly strained relationship between their respective parents. The performances of Theo Taplitz as Jake and Michael Barbieri as Tony are both charming and raw. Greg Kinnear as Brian and Paulina Garcia as Leonor play parents who were on opposing sides of a real estate battle in a gentrifying area of Brooklyn. They create flawed, nuanced characters who seem painfully aware that their children are witnessing them at their worst.”

“With beautiful performances, lush cinematography and a simple, powerful premise, LITTLE MEN is a little gem.”

Theo Taplitz and Michael Barbieri in “Little Men”

From FilmFestSalon: Apparently a lot of people agree with Jackie. Deadline reports that William Morris Endeavor (WME) is handling sales of the film, and has just signed to rep Michael Barbieri in all mediums. His co-star, Theo Taplitz, is already in Innovative Artists’ fold.
